Title: CZ Bren 2 Ms Carbine 5.56 Ammo

I've fed at least 30 different types of ammo through my CZ Bren 2 Ms Carbine 5.56 16.5" (not pistol) and seems like it doesn't like steel Russian ammo among others.  I had a good number of failure to feeds from the following ammo but consistent feeds with other ammo.

TulAmmo .223 55 Gr. FMJ
Wolf .223 55 Gr. FMJ
Red Army Standard .223 55 Gr. FMJ
Fiocchi .223 55 Gr. FMJ
PMC X-TAC 5.56 55 Gr. FMJ
Armscor M855 50173 Green Tip 5.56 62 Gr. FMJ

What are others seeing?  I was expecting a former communist bloc country to play nice with commie ammo but doesn't look like it.  A bit disappointing considering the price of this platform with other platforms being able to eat everything from the "buffet" of ammo.

The Carbine setting is off, normal, suppressed and not same as pistol variant.

I'd have a gunsmith look at it and consider having the "normal" port enlarged a little.

I'd also advise against using any ammo with steel jackets until replacement barrels become available. They wear out barrels' accurate life about 5-6X faster than copper jackets.

Tula and red army is the same ammo (tula) which is crap basically. Wolf could be tula as well, look on case stamp. I am surprised about PMC and Fiocchi, getting my carbine next week, already shipped to my FFL.

I run Winchester Q3131 along with Federal Lake City 55gr ball. For some reason mine shoots tightest groups with 55 gr ammo as opposed to heavier ammunition. I haven't tried any steel cased ammo thru mine nor will I. Use quality brass cased ammo and you should be alright. I did try so Fiochi thru mine and it ran fine.
