Awesome picture and event. Is that a machine gun or clay target launcher in the back of your truck?

Hahaha! Actually it’s a shooting table. I set it up in th back for my son to get a higher vantage point on these little guys.

Your son looks pleased with both his gopher and his rifle. We are still about three or so weeks out from gopher chasing up here.

Yeah he loves it for sure. I picked up that bottom metal from cz USA web store on clearance and let him pick the color. It really is a nice addition to that scout rifle. All
I know is I didn’t have that nice of rifle when I was his age but it will grow with him as he gets older. One of the biggest advantages to the 455/457 rimfire lines.

Nice! Bought one for my girls years ago. Sold it to another dad/son combo when they outgrew it.

They are awesome little rifles. I especially love the single shot ramp to start them off with.

Never used the adapter. I use to load up all they mags so they did not have to handle any lead. Once on the bench they were responsible for clearing, pulling the mag, reloading and chambering a round. My daughters grew up loading and unloading AR mags with a LULA loader. They though that’s was just magical fun! I use to think they would wear the springs out. Not worried about the ammo: I put together 100 rnds of dead ammo just for goofing. Wish they would have had the colorful powder coated bullets back then; definitely a cool factor.

Nice work. I started my son with a CZ Scout as well, with the intention of just re-stocking / re-barreling it. He got sentimentally attached to it though, and so when he outgrew it, I couldn't bring myself to mess with it.
So I got him a CZ 457 Varmint and put it in an XLR Chassis.
