Title: CZ-82 Barrel Insertion Distance
Post by: twitte on August 25, 2021, 06:36:56 PM
Long story short, the barrel on my CZ-82 swelled, was machined out from within the slide, and I now have a replacement barrel for it.  I brought all of the pieces to a local gunsmith, and he's happy to install the barrel and pin for me, but he's asking me how far the barrel needs to be pressed into the housing.  I seem to recall the back of the barrel to be perfectly flush with the back of the housing.  Also, as I look at the barrel's exterior, there's a machined edge/lip that oddly and seemingly aligns with the front of the housing (see attached pic).

Is the insertion depth as simple as pressing it in until the end of the barrel is flush with the back of the housing and the machined edge/lip is flush with the front of the housing?

Does anyone have, or know where I can find, a drawing depicting insertion depth?

Can anyone maybe provide a picture of their CZ-82 that shows proper assembly depth?
