My intention in sharing this is capturing for posterity what upgrades work and which don’t, along with links to all the items. This has been a fun / crazy journey and want to give back to the community.
First: a special shout out to Henning Wallgren (of Henning Group) who patiently helped me at various points on this journey, and who actually has a SAR K12 and could test fit certain items (rather than just guess).
Main Points (I go into more detail later):
• Most (not all) internal parts for the Tanfoglio Small Frame will work
Henning Group and Patriot Defense are a great source of upgrades for Tanfoglio
I’ve been told that it’s most similar to a Tanfoglio Witness Elite Limited, but I can’t confirm that
• Magazines: takes standard CZ 75 magazines
• Rear sight: EAA SUPER SIGHT (LPA/Bomar style)
• Front sight: some weird Tanfo-specific thing (you’ll be surprised which Dawson front sight actually works… see below)
What DIDN’T work (so you learn from my mistakes)
• Henning Base pads on OEM SAR K12 mags
Issue: They will slide on but they will just pop right off when they hit the ground.
Easy solution: just buy regular Mec-Gar CZ75 mags and put the same Henning Base pads on those. They work perfectly.
• Henning extended firing pin (H051-TL X-Long Firing Pin for Tanfoglio, https://www.henningshop.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1284167&CAT=9244)
Issue: It would have required modification for both length and taper
Easy solution: Patriot Defense has one that just drops in
• RedX Gear holster
Issue: really tight fit, and terrible customer service (that’s a whole saga in itself)
Easy solution: modify it or buy a different one (perhaps there are more options now?)
What DID work (so you learn from my successes)

FYI… I worked with a gunsmith who is also a competition shooter who understands performance and tuning. In addition to installing and fitting all of these parts, he also
• Chamfered outside edge of firing pin hole
• Polished breech face and rails
• Ramped and polished the feed ramp
• Magwell: perfect blending of removal of any edges (see photo)
• Overall polish and deburr

Very Nice, but could you resize your images, as they are a bit large, even for my 27 inch Monitor? :)

He's selling it elsewhere. I removed the auction link. If you right click the images and select 'view image' it shrinks them down.

I had a Holosun 507 mounted on it and it worked great. The EGW plate works for basically any optic that can work with Trijicon. EGW makes other plates for the other major optics... you just need to make sure it's the EAA SUPER SIGHT notch.
As for image size, I would welcome suggestions... I had a real tough time trying to get images to work. Thanks.

I saw where ya listed the grips you chose and types they are. But if someone wanted a different type sold there. Would any of the CZ standard style grips fit this? If so which model thanks

You can pick from a ton of Tanfo options that fit the SAR K12, not just the Palm Swell Bogies that I purchased. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I missed the Auction Links, probably due to the Pics being so large.
Yes, you can do the "view image" thing through your browser, but having to do so for all of those pics gets annoying fast.
As for image size, I would welcome suggestions... I had a real tough time trying to get images to work. Thanks.
I went in and edited the pic url's to resize them for the Forum.

Has anyone tried the Eemann Thumb Rest/Slide Release for Tangfolio to see if it fits the SAR K12 Sport? I handled a CZ Shadow 2 with a Shadow 2 version of the part installed yesterday and liked it.

I see this is an old post.. but when we searched the front sight I can only find red... Also I had purchased the SARS K12 sport x... Can anybody tell me if the K12 sport magwell and hand grips are a direct fit I had tried to contact the company for about 2 weeks and no answer...

No, sir. The problem is you are not thinking. It is incumbent upon the writer of the post to insure the contents meet the forum rules. And that includes ALL the rules. The rules, reasons and suggestions for dealing with image size are clearly covered in multiple locations on CZF. The onus is clearly on the person making the post.
