Has anyone had the Kadet 2 kit milled for a red dot?
Looking to get mine milled to make it as close to possible when shooting 9 mm. for practice.
I am hoping it will still cycle with the dot.

I do not have mine milled. The slide does not cycle on the Kadet 2 kits, only the "bolt". I do not know if the slide is as thick as a center fire pistol to allow machining.

The Kadet 2 upper is too thin for direct milling. The only options are a dovetail mount or drilling and tapping to install a pic rail. IMO, both options place the rds too high for practical use/training.

Sorry This is the Shadow 2 Kadet kit the slide cycles just like the 9mm.I just found out after speaking to my milling guy , he says he has done them before.
If I can get it dialed in and reliable I may have it cut to match my 9mm.
I still dont get get consistent hold open after last round and some double action pulls to fire .
I added hammer springs 18lb as recommended and it is 90% there.

remember slide is only aluminum and dot will add 1.5-2 ounces of weight to slide.
you dont have a lot of options to help run as far as recoil springs, different loads , etc.
