Seemed like a good time to check the 97 barrel, since it seems to be shooting really well and I haven't done any "deep" cleaning in a year or two, maybe 1k rounds ago. Everything looked good, so I made a 2 minute video, just in case anyone is interested. Bottom line is a little carbon, a little lead, a few scratches, doesn't hurt a thing! When you see something solid that looks like a boulder, AND the accuracy has fallen off, sure, remove the boulder. But there will be carbon smeared throughout the barrel after a few rounds and it won't hurt a thing.
