Title: Skeletonized side mount plate
Post by: briang2ad on December 01, 2021, 05:38:09 PM
The standard one is THICK and heavy - do the skeletonized versions match up on the same holes?  (It would make sense).  Thanks.

Stock CSA side plates are a half pound.  Skeletonized are still 2/3rds that.  Why RS's DARS plate that's aluminum or remove altogether.

Holes are standardized with sear pin and/or safety as reference points.

Is the DARs plate even made anymore?

Easily answered with the search function and relatively recent comments of Horse, who is RS Regulate's owner/principal.

(Answer is yes, but production backlog due to mandatory COVID distancing protocols in state of manufacture.)

Here it is.  I don't think there is much hope in some becoming available given the last message was in Aug, and the last they were in stock was 2018 - me thinks.  Too bad.  have to face it - the VZ 58 is an obscure weapon.  Kinda like speaking Czech.

(I realize that there were many built and distributed for the tiny nation that made them...)

No, they and stock adapters were both available late 2019/early 2020 -- don't recall exact timing.  Might have been just blems.  Message them and they should be able to tell you rough future production schedule.

If you offer to buy a batch in full, bet it'll get expedited.
