Like many European gun enthusiasts, I have been dreaming of a Korth revolver for a long time. So I finally pulled the trigger and bought this NIB 1986 Ratzeburg made Korth Target .357 Magnum 6 inch.

And it’s no longer new
Had some vertical stringing before producing a nice group at 25 meters offhand. The trigger action is incredibly smooth, both in SA and DA mode.

The crazy part is that I saw this gun with another half dozen Korth at my old LGS 25 years ago. They remained unsold due to their high prices, and the LGS often joked that they were part of his retirement plan.
Sadly he passed away prematurely in 2017. Another LGS I became close to bought his entire stock, and had those Korth on display.
He lowered the prices and they started moving. So I felt it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire an old school NIB Korth. I had to take the jump, and when I shot it I had a thought for the deceased LGS who was a friendly person.

another nice toy....
yes, they ARE expensive. I went with Colt Pythons when i could.
im surprised you had some odd grouping/shots when new since i would think that any gun would go through some OEM testing. But i hope you enjoy it. I do like some of the different features.
Question.
whats the extra hammer for ? safety? or maybe some type of "single set" mechanism?

BEAUTIFUL - If it shoots anywhere near as good as it looks you really got a nice deal!

It is the cylinder release. Pretty similar to S&W except the push forward button is on the right outside the frame rather than on the left attached to the frame

Shot a Korth in 32 S&W Long when in Germany. Probably the smoothest revolver I have ever fired. The weapon belonged to a Stuttgart constable and it was his favorite thing in the world, his wife even said the same thing.
Very nice.
