Title: Nickle 83
Post by: czechollector on January 17, 2022, 12:39:48 PM
Ran across a nickle 83 for sale dated '98.  Is this a factory finish?

Satin nickel, yes. Haven’t seen a polished/bright nickel factory finish for a CZ 83.

Some of the Israeli marked surplus CZ 83 pistols were in satin nickel

I found a new old stock 83 nickel a few years back.
I am pleased with it for what it is.

My first CZ, obtained in 2012, is a satin nickel 83.  CZ got out of the nickel plating game perhaps two years later, probably to reduce hazardous waste handling costs.

Nickel 380ACP chambered CZ83's are frequently available on GunBroker.  The 9x18Mak chambered ones are very hard to come by and command a significant premium.
