Title: CZ Shadow 2 SA experiences
Post by: Glock24 on February 14, 2022, 01:35:25 PM
Hi All,

I'm a longtime CZ owner (wish I could change my screen name, haha), and have rented a regular Shadow 2 a couple of months ago.  It was an unbelievably good gun, although my CGW modified SP01 Tactical kept up with it.  I'm about to pull the trigger on a Shadow 2 SA I think, and just wanted feedback from any owners as to what they like / don't like about theirs.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I don't have the SA, but I sure love my S2 Orange. I think you'll be very happy with it. Only thing I'd mention is if you shoot any competition, SA will not be legal for USPSA Production class.

No time to compete, so it's a non-issue.

Go for it, great pistol, also consider the Tac sport 2.

I looked at that, and was tempted.  The 20 round mags are a no go in NJ.  I don't want to have to buy 10 rounders for it, and I have 10 rounders for my 75B SA and SP01 T.

I got both, slight edge to the TS2 but no problem with the Shadow 2 SAO. Pretty sure it will best your SP01.

Haha, that's the idea.  Thanks for the info.

Have a tricked out shadow 2 optics ready, IMO, for me getting a SP01 doesn't make sense.  That's a lot of overlap especially you don't do gun games.  Personally, I would suggest one to expand into other areas within The CZ world, 97, PCR.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I'm not really into compact guns, aside from P07.  The 97 doesn't fit me well, and I'm never paying for .45 acp ammo again.

I don’t play any of those alphabet games! I am just a backyard plinker and the shadow2 SA has been a joy to shoot for about a year now! I love everything about it! I like the adjustable sights and about a three pound trigger! I did install a set of LOK palm swell bogies for a better grip! It has been 100% reliable with a little of a thousand rounds down range.

I picked up an SA model because the DA trigger reach for me is a little long. The trigger reach on the SAO Shadow 2 is perfect for me. Trigger break is amazing and beats my CGW SP-01 tac, Sig P226 Legion SAO and LTT Elite 92.

Third!  And with a trigger kit from Cajun I'm down to a 2.3 lb pull on the trigger.  Great fun!

When another guy at the range with two other race guns tried it out, he got so excited. he went and bought a Shadow 2 SAO that week.

Exactly.  Sometimes it's about the gun, not the games.  And I don't like rules telling me I can own, use, etc.  I get enough of that living in NJ.

THAT is a great testimonial.
