Howdy,
Who has one of these guys and what do you think of them? Reliability and so forth.
I have an odd attraction for porting, the recoil reduction is ok, but just something about the porting, (insert Freudian Diagnosis here). :-\
How is the milling on the frame rails, contact points for moving parts, etc?
I polish stuff, it's what I do and I prefer not to have deep milling marks, so I am curious as to how well the machining is done.
I will probably go stainless, so I don't have to worry about removing any finish as I baby the gun.
FWIW, the Chromed Jericho 941 I posted about has some horrible milling in the frame, slide and frame rails. :'(
Still a beautiful gun though, just don't look at it's guts.
Thanks,
Mike

Don't have these, but I have two of their 45's, one had a firing pin problem, which they fixed
quickly, and other than that, both shoot very well. I plan on getting a trigger job done on the K2-45C, the compact, as it is a lot of fun to shoot. The local SAR USA is decent about customer
service, but they don't carry a lot of parts, check their web site for that. 8)

Thanks Roscoe. ;D

If you haven't decided by now, I have the P8S in stainless and it's a fantastic pistol. I have NO qualms about it being an EDC.

I have 2 SAR B6c 9mm pistols and they both run fantastic, both have great triggers and are very accurate. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality firearm.

I have several SAR USA pistols and the only issue I've had was with a brand new SAR9. It was missing one of the little red plastic indicators on the trigger. They have all been 100% reliable so far. Ive tried all types of ammo from HP-FMJ/cheap-expensive and not one failure to feed, fire or eject. I have a P8S Stainless I found in a random pawn shop for $500 out the door, tax and all. Shoots fantastic. The milling on the frame and slide are very good for the price but the barrels are typically rough wether chromed or black. But that's been the case for all my SARs. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Great pistols!
Are standard CZ-75/MecGar magazines compatible with P8S?
I have Sarsilmaz 2000 Mega and CM9 Gen2 which both accept CZ-75/MecGar/Act-Mag magazines.

Yes, all mags I have with labels from CZ, Sarsilmaz, Tanfoglio, MecGar, etc. have worked. The only ones I haven’t tried are some older 16 round MecGar magazines. That’s because I don’t really use them.

I have the P8L and love it. I carry it in a shoulder holster. I shot it in USPSA but they made me shoot in Open class because of the popple holes = doh! it was fun though.
I had some feedign issues but polished the feed ramp and done.
I have the K12SE and it's very nice but the trigger isn't quite like my built CZs. I have the K45 too its awesome as well.
