Thinking about putting sugru on the front of the trigger. Want to add about 1/2 in to the LOP.
Good or crazy idea?

Well here is what i ended up with:

Feels great during dry fire. Much more natural position for my finger.
-
I just did something similar to my TSO's, except I printed my triggers.

It feels much better with my large hands.
Cheers,
Toby

what model of Microtech is the box for? 8)

The knife is an ultratech 3.4in. Similar blue/black color combo.

I have a single-edge Ultratech with the black blade and blue grip. I'm a big Microtech fan.

Yup microtech is cool.
Did a range session today and very happy with the results. Sugru held up well and I'm able to get a better position on the trigger. Definitely recommend something similar for shooters with larger hands.
I wonder if anyone has 3d printed a double action shadow 2 trigger 🤔? The sugru will only hold up for so long.

I could attempt one. I don't own a Shadow 2 but have a number of standard CZ's. I wonder if the DA/SA flat triggers that are on the market now do what your after? Obviously I could make a trigger with a longer reach and keep a round/custom profile.

Toby

Up to you if you wanted a fun project. I don't know if I want to replace the trigger. There is a flat faced trigger that CZ custom makes, but I don't know what difference it makes for LOP.

Why not get a spare trigger, and bend it forward (heat and bend)? Could be a possibility. Or maybe be weld/solder some shaped metal enhancement? These could be better long term solutions probably.

How does the length of pull look on the Eemantech triggers on my bull shadows?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220504/f1603b44bc6fe8a12e2258510e6cd47e.jpg)

I don't know of any longer reach triggers for DA/SA use, but I do know Zendl makes a couple of longer-reach SAO triggers. One is about 2mm longer and the other is about 4.5mm longer reach. I bought their short-reach [rear shifted, in their terms] for my shortish fingers, but I didn't want DA/SA on this pistol. Mine is a 2.5mm reduction in reach from standard length.
If you are wanting to keep the DA/SA, I have no suggestions.

I found a seller on eBay that offers the Zendl extra front-shifted trigger. I decided to buy one because this seems to be literally the only option to increase the LOP without a totally custom setup. It ships from the Czech Republic.
I'm going to attempt a first install without removing the disconnector. I figure the only way it wont fit is if somehow the top part of the trigger near the pins makes contact with the frame. There are two pin holes so it will connect just the same as a DA trigger. I'll post a pic comparing the two triggers (factory/Zendl) with the pin holes matching (which would illustrate the exact difference in LOP).
I wish there was a Zendl importer for the USA. I have a bad feeling the package is going to take a month to ship / get through customs.
EDIT:
Eemann Tech also has a longer LOP trigger...

I think the SEO is not all that good for these Euro brands, so they don't pop up on searches unless you add the brand name.

It doesn't look good. Christmas shipping rush has already started.
Last year it took me 7 weeks to get a 8x8x10" box from Canada !!

Good luck with it! I had no problems with my Zendel trigger being shipped, but I also just gave myself 'until it gets here' timeline, to take the pressure off.
I left the disconnector in. In talking to people at CGW, they indicated that it was their preference, as it wasn't doing anything. However, the guy I talked to also said leaving it in would probably never cause any problems. It was just a preference to remove the part that is unused.
My preference was to leave it in as it doesn't affect trigger pull feel and this way I am not likely to lose it if I switch triggers back to DA/SA in the future. I've got too many bins of spares and take-offs.

Eeman tech stuff from the ipscstore in Estonia ships fast.
[Mods Added: If it's so great, then why not leave a link so that others can partake ??]

Has anyone tried Cesar Shop (Slovenia) ? https://cesar-shop.com/firearm-parts-en/
Their prices seem much less compared to ipsc store.

I haven't tried them yet. They have fewer SKUs in stock than IPSC store, at least when it comes to triggers.
I ordered the Eemann extra front-shifted trigger from IPSC store. $109 OTD, and half of that was the cost of shipping :-[ This is the last hurdle to getting the ergos right on my Shadow 2, so to me it's worth it. Then I'll also eventually have the Zendl as a spare.

I got the Eemann trigger in tonight and installed it.
The LOP is increased by at least .5 inches compared to the factory trigger (maybe more). There is a clean break at 90 degrees. Here is a pic with the hammer back.
https://i.ibb.co/Fn6qVgg/shadow-lop.jpg
Between the longer LOP and thick grips, the ergos are pretty much perfect for my hand size.
After my first install attempt, the trigger was not resetting all the time. I removed the disconnector and it's now working perfectly.

I finally got around to designing and printing a DA/SA trigger to increase the reach on my new Accushadow 2 I built for Carry Optics. It moves the trigger forward about 6.5mm. I'm not sure the DA reach is ideal but the SA reach is much better. For reference, I have large hands that measure over 8 inches from crease to middle finger.
I'm going to run it for now and see how it runs/feels. I used the same material that I made my TSO SAO trigger out of and it has held up with no issues.

Let us know how it holds up. Kudos on designing that on your own. It's beyond anything I could do.

Wow you're the first person I saw that does the same as me. I use thermoplastic! Check that stuff out. It may work better than sugru.

I've ran it for over a year now without issue in the Shadow 2 and two years on my TSO's. The nylon material I print with is 100% chemical resistant (at least with the chemicals used to clean and lube guns). I routinely spray brake cleaner and scrub the action with carbon solvent (KG1) and it doesn't effect the printed trigger at all.
I'm pleased with the profile and reach with this trigger. It really does help with my big hands.
Cheers,
Toby
