If you haven’t already seen it, the new name is Colt CZ Group SE as of 12 April, 2022.
The SE stands for Societas Europaea which means it’s registered as a public company in accordance with EU corporate law.

It should be CZ-Colt Group.

CZ Group was established in 2018.
I see "Colt" as an adjective to the noun "CZ Group"

Yeah, “Colt CZ” is like having the tail wag the dog.
Whatever they call themselves, they’re going to be very sorry if they stick with Colt’s existing incompetent management and leave Colt operations in CT and don’t move all their manufacturing facilities down South into gun-friendly territory. Eventually, the State of CT is going to find an excuse to sue them out of existence, like they did with Remington.
-
As long as they keep the same high quality products and bring Colt into the future, they can call themselves anything...but yeah, CZ should be in front. ;)
-
CCZ Group then.
Colt lovers will call it Colt CZ Group
CZ lovers will call it Ceska Colt Zbrojovka Group
;)

Adding the Colt name will help with marketing here in the States. The name is a shiny penny that people with recognize. Just hope they don't adopt too many Colt management strategies....

Auslander has it right. A surprising number of people don't have a clue as to who or what a CZ is. But everyone knows what COLT means. As the COLT CZ GROUP chases government contracts, the most recognizable name first gets people's attention. Hopefully CZ doesn't adopt any of Colts management strategies since the end of WWII.

First order of business for CZ should be to immediately fire everyone in management at Colt — then move all operations out of CT down South. The Colt name only appeals to Fudds and newbies who don’t know any better. Serious gun junkies have experienced Colt’s behavior over the years, their condescending attitude toward the enormous US consumer market and kowtowing to gun control idiots, disastrous attempts at “smart gun” technology and other “innovations” that fell flat on their face (the double eagle, Colt 2000, etc.). The creative engineers at Colt are long gone, any ground breaking innovation never saw the light of day, or was so badly marketed that it failed miserably. They got beaten out of their bread and butter military contracts by foreigners (i.e. FN & Sig). All they’ve done is rehash obsolete, moribund models, like the 1911, revolvers and cowboy guns. Just listen to Chris on Small Arms Solutions. He witnessed the demise of Colt first hand — from the inside.

I also think adding the Colt name was mostly to increase business recognition, especially in the US. Yes, hopefully they continue CZ business into Colt and not the other way around.

The last 2 CZs I purchased (75 PCR & 75 B Omega) had poor quality, so I probably wont buy another CZ or Colt.
That old world craftsmanship isn't there anymore. Sad...
