Wondering what an average price would be for a decent condition CZ85? Have a buddy that has one.
Bluing isnt bad, but its shiny at the slide release and safety, probably from a holster.
No box, 1 mag. Plastic grips.

Don't know what an average price would be but last summer I picked up a CZ 85 from one of our local pawn shops. It came with everything it left the factory with box, papers and a couple of magazines, for $550. Montana doesn't have a sales tax and the pistol is in excellent shape, I imagine that there are better deals out there but with the firearms market these days I'm not feeling taken by any means.

I bought an 85 just before last Xmas and paid $450.00 for it. It had maybe 2 mags through it, the LGS said. It's a beautiful gun and not a mark on it. I know I got a real good deal on it. 1991 Birthdate.

I bought my CZ 85 Pre-B (1987) via Gunbroker in 2018 and paid $454.52 (3.3% added since I used a credit card).
It was in good condition, some small scratches on the frame showing bare metal under the black polycoat and the CZ factory rubber grips were a bit sticky/tacky.

I boght mine 85 xombat in mint condition a couple of years ago for $400, came with the original box , papers, 2 mags and all kind of spare springs you could ever need, you can use the shadow 2 mags in it and they are cheap

I appreciate the responses. This one doesnt seem like its worth what hes asking.
-
What does he ask for it
-
$550
-
yeah thats way too much, mine even came with Pachmayr rubber fingergrooved grips and original ones
-
Sold my 85 about 5yrs ago for 600. Mint and all contents it came with. I have a high polished 75 I may put on the chopping block soon also
-
$550 seems high to me. If I wanted one and it was blued and near mint, then I'd pay that for it.
-
$465 per this source:

Wow, I thought mine was in the 600 range, new from Angus in the later 2000s. It is the satin nickel though and have no plan to ever sell it.
Wonder if the receipt is in the box...
-
I got a 2008 satin nickel 85 combat and I think 600 would be fair
But I’d never sell a cz again😆🤔

New vs used: prices aren't comparable.
-
They're not, but in my mind my now used pistol is worth at least $800.
But I'd literally need 5k to let it go.

This one just sold on Gun Broker. This seems like a lot of money for this gun, but who knows? Prices on everything are nuts these days.

Way too much, and they sell it as european example while it is clearly marked CZ USA on the gun
-
It should be in the ballpark of 500
-
You guys are spoiled!!!
I don't live in a free state so firearms are $$$$.
In 2014 I bought my new 85C from a shop right before such model became illegal to sell to the public.
$850 out the door!

If he is a friend, counter with $475 and pay the good buddy tax.
Otherwise counter with $425 and walk away if he acts indignant.
-
450–500 sounds about right. But then I got a nickel ,cajunized.600-650
