Quiet as a mouse from CZ lately, depressed CS rep every time you call, anyone go to, see, or hear anything from NRA?
-
I didn't go, but was thinking about going today.
CZ-USA did post a "story" (short video snippets) yesterday of their booth on Facebook.
As they walked along videoing the assortment of items, I didn't see anything that interested me.
At the end was someone showing a "turkey gun".
This morning, they posted another "story" with a lot of little snippets and stills.
From watching it, they also are showing DW and Colts in the booth.
The "model" showing and talking appears to be the only "deep bronze" there.
-
Here is the model. The dashed line at the top...each one is a snippet.
Post Show update: On visiting the booth, I was told her name is Chelsea. I didn't see her while I was there.

I think they are still working on the fix for the 600 series. With the upset in the world, CZ-UB might be concentrating on military sales of the BREN 2 and P-10 series, (I did see a picture of a P-10C in Ukraine), so...your guess is a good as mine. I've been busy and haven't talked to CZ in a while, my bad.
Thanks for the pics, nice job!

I think they are still working on the fix for the 600 series.
I spoke with one person in the booth about the recall on the 600 series.
He said that the problem was that the barrel swap on the 600 series was "not idiot-proof" so they are going to revisit their design to see if they can make it idiot-proof".
We then talked about Czech beers and wanting to visit the factory.
Side note: there were a LOT of police outside the convention center and they kept all of the protesters across the street from the entrance. Inside there were roving SWAT teams who seemed more to be there for shopping than protection.
In all it was as well behaved as I've come to expect for an exhibition and show.
One thing I don't like about the GRB (George R. Brown convention center) is the lighting. To me it doesn't seem quite adequate for close examination of things.
Worse though are the one-day shows put on by the Houston Gun Collectors Association at the SPJST Hall in Houston.
SPJST (Slovanska Podporujici Jednota Statu Texas) is a Czech fraternal organization founded in 1897.
They even have a Czech flag flying with the US and Texas flags out front!
Their lighting is so bad when shows are held there that I bring a flashlight to examine things.

has been quiet for sure. The CZ MIL/LE website has been pretty much wiped out. Really just hoping they are regrouping and such. I thought about going to the NRA Convention as well on Saturday, but did not make it.

I attended the 2018 NRA meeting in Dallas with my family, and went solo to their 2019 expo in Fort Worth. I also attended the USCCA event in Fort Worth last year. CZ-USA had a presence at the 2018 NRA meeting, but I don't think I have seen them at these other events.
Thought about a road trip to Houston this year, but decided against it, long before the Uvalde mass shooting stirred up the anti-gunners outside of the event. Between what I see on the local news and videos I watch on Active Self Protection, I'm not too keen on going to Houston at the moment. The last time I was in town there was in 2017 when I took my sons to the Space Center.

And not just with CZ, but with Colt and DW as well. I know Covid supply chain issues slowed things down for a while, but I guess I was expecting a little more momentum behind all three brands at this point, and some exciting new releases. Instead, DW has trimmed their lineup down significantly, and I haven't seen any new models from Colt, either.

nothing can ever be fool proof because the fools are so bleeped clever

So....so....so true...

Was told the CZ mil/LE guys were folded into Colt, and most the guys have left the company.

Wow. I really wonder what's going on, not just with that specifically, but with whatever the 'big plan' is for CZ USA and its other brands.
-
I have gotten very little info from CZ right now - I think they are waiting to see what happens politically.

That is no bueno. :-\
-
CZ has become Deadsville. Sad...
-
The silence does seem kind of deafening at this point. Hardly anything new from CZ, and crickets from DW and Colt. Good luck even finding anything from the latter two brands these days. I really wonder what's going on....
-
The only thing that looks promising are the ads for the 600 Alpha series rifles, which might be the upgraded versions. We'll see.
Still wanna Scorpion in 10mm...

This article explains why they aren't paying attention to the US civilian market. I wouldn't expect it to change in the near future.
