Title: Lead time on TS 2 work
Post by: Welldone on June 18, 2022, 09:51:41 PM
I’m thinking of sending my TS 2 to have the slide cut for my new SRO red dot. Anybody know how backed up this shop is? I certainly don’t want to send it to a shop that has no waiting time at all……. usually not a good sign. While it their for the optics cut, I might want a once over type package installed.
Thanks

CGW is a premiere gunsmith outfit for CZ's.  They are more than capable to cut the slide for an optic.  I have no idea on lead time but your best bet is to call them and discuss.

Honestly, I'm not sure what you would want to tune on a TS2 variant.  If you want to increase the trigger pull weight, then you can get their TS hammer.  There isn't much needed on that platform.  I run two TSO's and have modified them to improve ergonomics for my large hands and increase the trigger pull weight.

Cheers,
Toby

They are very responsive on their “contact us” form on their website, if you have questions.

I called on Friday to set up the milling of a slide.

They are about 8-weeks from being able to accept shipment.

He put me on a list and sent a confirmation email. Once they are ready to receive, they send a follow up email with an order form and instructions.

Email said that lead time could be up to 8 weeks once they have the components/firearm in shop.

They also took the time to answer a few questions I had.

In today’s world where customer service has taken a nosedive, it was refreshing.

Couple of guys in my club have had weapons worked by them. They are pleased.

Just catching up to this thread again. I decided to go a different  route and have my slide at Fire4 Effect. Their cost was more but their turn around was about 2-3 weeks. They have a designed a better “mousetrap” in my opinion. I’ll try to follow up with pics and such.
