For some stupid reason, these supposedly, specifically, do not work in CSA / Czechpoint guns (the top of the heap of Vz58s)…
Anyone know why this is or what could be done to modify this safety to work on CSA guns? The stock safety lever on the right side is one of the few bugs in the Vz58 system for me.

File or dremel the same slot on the reverse position, and mill the receiver if necessary to allow safety rotation in that direction... Vz2008s also need milled on the lower ledge on left side since it extends higher than on CSA guns.
Believe I have a post on this here previously, maybe w/ photos.

My guess is because the CSA semi position is actually incorrect for a VZ58. VZ2008 actually has it correct for the semi position. The CZ are also correct being they originally designed the weapon.

Well, whoever makes these ambi safeties would sell a hell of a lot more at premium prices if they made a version compatible with the CSA guns. I don’t think I’d alter my CSA receiver just to get an ambidextrous safety, though it would be a nice option, and no doubt very popular if it was just a drop-in part for the CSA guns.
