Being a Newbie to the CZ family but also a fan of Red Dots I was on a quest for mounting them on my CZs. The TS2 Race Green was an easy accomplishment using a CZC Side Mount with a Holosun 507C. The mount works well save for the “clunkiness” of the Red Dot floating 1.5” over the bore center line (CL) and the additional work to disassemble for cleaning. And yes, I know there are “Optics Ready” configurations (but I don’t own one). With the addition of an adapter plate on the Optics Ready the Red Dot again sits relatively high off of the bore CL. So I started looking to have my CZC A01 LD slide milled for a direct mount. I know there are several companies that perform this work but they are BUSY leading to lead times measured in months… And then, I discovered Wicked Arms. I stumbled on their work on a FB post and said WHOA!! I contacted Wicked Arms via their Website and John immediately returned my email. I asked about lead time for an SRO milling and installation and was told 14 days… WHAT?? The work would include milling my A01 slide for an extremely low bore axis, direct mount of a Trijicon SRO (you can supply or they will supply for additional $$) to my slide. The slide is then cerakoted in one of their available colors, the gun is reassembled, the Red Dot is boresighted and then test fired. And the results… Well, you can judge for yourself! My Bull Shadow will be going down for an RMR installation next!!

I like the Bull Shadow… But, I like the A01-LD more. Mainly because of the size of the grip on the A01! Both guns shoot well!
