Picked up a nice 1992 witness compact sf 9mm recently. First time I shot it, had about 60% light strikes. Took it home, cleaned and lubed. Second shooting it was a bit better with about 30% light strikes, one even had no strike at all on the primer. All fired with second strikes. Tore down the slide and cleaned the fpb and firing pin channel. Noticed some light peening on the firing pin. This says to me the fpb is getting in the way intermittently. Still getting about 1-2 light strikes per mag. Have tried three types of ammo.
I ordered a new firing pin spring, fpb spring, extended firing pin (couldn’t find a sf oem fp), and hammer spring. Thinking that respringing should give me the best chance of getting it running well. Any other thoughts or ideas ?

Love the two tone!

I’m digging it. Really tempted by the lf 10mm matching at the lgs.
