And not just low, Ridiculously, Irritatingly LOW. 4 to 6 inches at 7 and 15 Yards using a Combat Hold, 124 and 115 grain quality ammo, from a Pistol Rest. Their Customer Service has proven to be Absolutely Useless. A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Anyone else experience this?

Not to criticize, but to help... All sights point the barrel at that location. As soon as the round is fired, the barrel starts to climb due to recoil. This is even before the bullet leaves the barrel. The barrel axis climbs to the bull during recoil.
• Maybe the "power" of this specific ammo wasn't enough to get the expected recoil
• Maybe mods have been made to the pistol (springs, trigger, etc) which change the recoil dynamics
• Maybe you simply need to test from a sandbag and bench.
• The mathematics predicts that the POI would not be the same for 7 and 15 yds. In fact, since the distance is doubled, then the change in POI would also be doubled.
So there are a lot of places for User Error to creep in here. I'm not saying it has, only that it can.
If everything is correct, then since this is a purely mathematical issue. Using a ratio of the Vertical Components over the Distance Components, you can calculate how much lower your front sight needs to be....
Front sight height (in) POI from Perfect (in)
------------------------ = -------------------------
Sight Radius (in) 756in (seven yds)
Hope this helps.

Appreciate your reply. The Ammo was Federal HST1 124 grain and American Eagle 115 grain. Both were shot from a Pistol Rest. The stock sights shot to POA.

The Ammo was Federal HST1 124 grain and American Eagle 115 grain.
• You should have had good barrel climb with the HST1. That's a premier SD round.
• Doubtful the American Eagle worked out the same because that's general use target ammo.
Both were shot from a Pistol Rest.
• That info should have been stated up front.
• You should allow for the possibility that the mechanical rest does not react in the exact same way as the human wrist. Especially if you use this pistol for SD.
Conclusions
Lots of variables....
- Varied ammo
- Mechanical rest
- Same POI increase when distance was doubled
IMHO, as a Test Engineer for Fortune 100 companies for 20 years, this is not the way I would have designed or run this test. I don't think your results are exactly "BAD", I just doubt that they can absolutely be trusted or be said to be conclusive. Big difference. So I think the conclusions you've drawn are not the same ones I would have reached.
I don't say this to upset you, only to point out that you proabably shouldn't be so quick to condemn.
Hope this helps.

Your opinion is noted and appreciated. Now back the initial question, has anyone else experienced a P01 or P01 Omega with Truglo TFX sights installed shooting low?
-
Apparently this ISSUE has been addressed previously on this forum. The Truglo Sights do in fact SHOOT LOW on the P01 and P01 Omega Pistols. I've Corrected this by installing Dawson Sights and both pistols now SHOOT TO POINT OF AIM. NEVER AGAIN ON TRUGLO.

I answered this question in a different thread, but I will add my .02
I have three CZs with the TFXs. All three of them shoots 3" - 4" low.
I am in the same boat, as I need night sights in at least two of these.
TruGlo does NOT sell the front sight only, so I only have these options:
1) TFX front + CGW fully adjustable black rear (Not sure how easy/difficult this would be in a low-light/no-light scenario)
2) Trijicon night sights
3) Trijicon Tritium Night Sights (For just one them)
4) Other ???
5) Leave as is (shooting low) + Add laser?
6) TFX front + CGW fully adj. black rear + laser?

Generally the Truglo TFX set for CZ 75 is intended for the full length slide
so installing on compact slide, they would naturally shoot lower point of impact ,
how much will depend on the ammunition.

This is correct. Wrong sights on wrong pistol. Should have checked before installation.

Thank you Stuart. That makes Absolute Sense. The Truglo website is not specific. There is no distinction between CZ75 Full Size and CZ75 Compact Pistols. Your expertise is greatly appreciated!
