I picked up a used (EX Service?) CZ 75 D Compact,, had it milled and mounted a Holosun 507K.
Shot it for the 1st time today.
The spent casing come back into my face,, some going by the right side of my face, some hitting me square in the face.
Is this a normal feature of this model?

No, this is not normal. I would closely inspect the Ejector and the Extractor claw. I assume that something is dirty or damaged.

every once in a while mine does the same thing, but maybe only one time per 15 round mag.

Slackdaddy:
Would it possibly help to describe the type of ammo which causes such weird ejections?
Or more than one brand of ammo, different bullet weights also ?

If the extractor and ejectors look good, maybe pick up a Wolff recoil spring tuning pack and see if that helps. Also, a fresh extractor spring might help too.

Thanks for the suggestions,, I will braek it down for a clean and inspection after the holidays and report back
