I've just received an old style trigger and floating pin from CGW in hopes of relieving the nasty trigger bite my 75B delivers. I watched a couple of YouTube videos showing trigger replacement and thought I was good to go. After removing the trigger pin, the trigger and spring just fell out along with the connecting pin to the trigger bar. The trigger bar stayed i place and I am unable to remove it. It seems to be captured under the sear. I have no doubt that I've made some sort of mistake but I'm hoping for some guidance on how to correct it. I think if I could remove the trigger bar, the remainder of the replacement should be simple.

It's for the M*CARBO trigger spring kit and should show you want you want to know.

Was your hammer cocked at the time?
With slide off and hammer cocked it is wise to not allow hammer to drop without slow control with fingers.

This is one of the videos I watched prior to beginning. It doesn't show removal of the trigger or trigger bar. I had found a different video which did show ab actual trigger replacement, but in that one, the trigger and trigger bar lifted out easily as one unit. In my case, the trigger separated from the trigger bar while lifting it out. I am not able to remove the trigger bar in order to attach the new trigger.

Have you pulled the trigger bar springs away from the trigger bar?

I have but it didn't have any effect. What might be part of the problem is that the video I watched in which the entire assembly lifted out, the pistol was fully cocked. Also, when I peer at the rear of the trigger bar, it seems to be held captive by what looks like some sort of metal strap. Again, not something shown or addressed in the video.

The Disconector is stopping the Trigger Bar from being removed. In a Double Action / Single Action configuration the Disconector is pinned to the Hammer and hangs over the Trigger Bar.
Removing the Sear Cage is required to remove the Trigger Bar from a CZ75 variant in DA/SA configuration. Single Action Only configurations are differnt, they do not use a Disconector.
Sear cage removal is covered in the above linked video at the 15:10 mark.
A Disconnector looks something like this.

Thanks for that, I was afraid that would be the next step. But I have the will and tools to give it a try. I think the video, although not specified, must have been the SA variant. And you're right...I did watch te sear cage removal in that video.

No, the video is for the DA/SA CZ 75b and the 97b.

Sorry, I meant another video which made it look so simple. I appreciate you posting this one! I stand corrected. Just about the time I think I have everything under control, another spring launches. ;)

While you have it out if you have some polish you can hit a couple of key spots to make it a little smoother.

It is all about the mindset. Just take it slow. Stop and ask questions if needed. Working on CZs can be fun.
Note that removing the Hammer Spring can make the process of removal and instantiation of the Sear Cage significantly easier.

I have heard but not checked yet, the main spring plug pin #23 can be used as a slave pin for the sear cage.
