Title: P-09/P-10F barrel leade
Post by: Boogalou on February 12, 2023, 07:17:44 AM
For those of you who have purchased a P-09 or P-10F lately, do you find that the barrels still have insufficient leade or freebore that is a common characteristic of CZ handguns?

The short throat issue still exists across the board with CZ's. Some have bought reamers to increase freebore themselves and some have sent their barrels out. I personally have had no issue with any of the defensive ammo I use in my CZ's and I have adjusted my handloads accordingly. It is an issue but it's not the big deal it's been made out to be at times.

I'm with SVPP. It's a known and understood fact of CZ life, not really high enough on the scale to rate being called "an issue". It's a reality you need to understand and deal with. It is common to MANY European handguns like Berretta and the striker fired guns from Springfield Armory (which I understand are made in Croatia). Gen 5 Glocks also have a similar freebore. However, I have never heard it labeled "insufficient".

I can shoot all the common American-made factory SD ammo (Federal, Speer, Remington, etc) without issue, and I have fired five thousand plus reloads... all without incident. So this really sounds more like an issue of personal taste rather than anything to do with CZ.

All the best.
