CZ says maybe, just maybe, next year.
Here is the 7.62x39, just having fun. Five shots of Wolf 122HP at 50 yards from sitting on the ground, shot on the target I require everybody to shoot who hunts on my ranch.
One of the funnest guns ever made.
Anybody else like these things?

Also, have you tried cast bullets? I was quite surprised to find that the load I use in my #1 won't stay in 3" in my 527. I'm trying to find a good cast load w/ the 150 SAECO FN that I can push to around 2,000 fps for called coyotes.
I was quite surprised to find that this little booger is quite accurate out to 400 and even 500 yards w/ the 125 grain Remington bulk bullet and in a light 10 mph wind yet. The wind wasn't the problem I'd expected, and holding the post of the Leupold "Rifleman" 2-7x just a tad high gave me hits at 500 on targets about the size of a coyote's vitals. That wide duplex has it's advantages.
Have only had the thing a few days, so can't honestly say it's a favorite yet, but it's sure a dandy! I really enjoyed fiddling w/ the bedding, floating the barrel,learning how to adjust the spring tension on the magazine and making it shoot. And yes, a longer barrel would be nice.

Some time ago I found this great tool called a toothbrush. It seems to make all those problems go away!
Seriously, thanks for the tip, but I have had zero problems with Wolf ammo. To the contrary, I have nothing but good to say about it. I suppose if a guy used the stuff and never cleaned his gun their might be a problem, but I have had none so far. Feeds great, is very accurate, and kills what I shoot with it.
I have a 500 meter position on the range on my ranch, but don't use it much. However, we do shoot this rifle a fair amount at 300 yards, and it does indeed shoot very well.

We're just now getting some nice weather here, so I'll be doing a lot more experimenting w/ this and the #1 this summer, and hopefully find a good cast load for the CZ. I only have a two hundred yard range in the back yard, but plink on the prairie. BTW, the USMC introduced me to the toothbrush in '66 and I've not been without one since. Handy little devil.

Truth is, I have heard so much BAD said about Wolf ammo over time, the case lacquering, velocities, accuracy, pressures, etc.
I have simply never had any problem. In fact, my experience with Wolf in 9mm, 7.62x54R, 7.62x39 {AK, SKS, CZ 527} and 5.45x39 {AK} has been very positive.
I suppose there is some reisidue from case lacquer and primer sealant, but regular cleaning takes care of that and as for the other issues I've never experienced any in thousands of rounds. Maybe I am paricularly fortunate in this regard, I don't know.
In my 527, the Wolf HP shoots superbly, and in fact is my accuaracy standard, giving 2 1/2 inch 5 shot groups at 200 yards. Good stuff.
I am wondering if possibly there are guns with very tight lockup and or chamber tolerances that just reject the stuff. Maybe so, but if so, they ain't mine. So far, for me anyway, so good.

I just got my CZ527 Lux bottom metal & magazine back, after they were reworked to shorten the magazine box protrusion - and the looks of the rifle have improved 200%, in my opinion ! The work Roy did was indistinguishable from "factory" - in fact, better ! The result is well worth the $65. I would highly recommend Roy's work to anybody interested in improving the lines of their 527 with a flush magazine - even with the bottom line of the stock. The rifle will still accept the factory, full-size, magazine after the modification - so hunting capacity shouldn't be an issue.
