Bought a used cz 47 mtr and installed a vortex crossfire 2 and not to happy with the scope. I have a used cz452 with a nikon scope that I like better but I guess nikon doesnt make scopes now. What do you guys recommend for a good scope, Im willing to go between $400 - 500. Any advice is welcome

First I would ask what don’t you like about your current scope?
Second, what is your intended use for the rifle? Bench shooting at 25, 50, 100 yards or farther? Plinking?
Third, what is your setup currently (mount, etc) and do you want to keep or invest more if necessary to meet yo7r goals.

The scope is being sent back for repair, their was no magnification, Vortex send it back. The shooting I do is 50yd -100yd. Thanks for your comment

I’ve been using the Vortex Tactical 6-24X50 FFP or the Mueller 8-32×44 Side Focus Target Dot.
I am really liking the Mueller for long range shooting.

The Mueller for the price is an excellent scope and have one on my Bergara BXR. Only problem is the eye box is very tight. Mueller 8-32x44. On my CZ I am running a Athlon Midas Tac. Little more than $500 but not by much. Very good scope and highly recommended.

Hey Jim I really like the Vortex Venom 5x25x56. It has great adjustment and is clear down to less then 50 yards. Coming in at $500 is nice as well.
Have you settled on a new scope?

I recently upgraded the Vortex on my 457 MTR Varmint to a Burris Fullfield IV 6x24x50 and am very pleased.

Arken optics can’t beat them for the money.

I like Primary Arms scopes, bleep decent glass for short money. I put a Primary Arms 4-14x FFP on mine. Put the same one on my Kidd 10/22. They are both tack drivers, 30 rounds one ragged hole from the bench @ 50 yards.
