Title: 9.3x62 in CZ 550 Lux
Post by: Unregistered(d) on June 24, 2003, 12:57:25 PM
I recently read a few magazine articles on the 9.3x62.  I'm very interested in this versatile and powerful caliber.  I'm also interested in the CZ rifle it is chambered in.  What I am curious about is which American cartridge this caliber would compare closest to and if there is any game animal this cartridge wouldn't be appropriate for.  I would use it mostly for deer, but bear, elk, and moose aren't out of the question.  Does this rifle have the proper range for these animals.

Another question I have is could this rifle be reamed out to 9.3x64 Brenneke.  Just a thought.

I'm very impressed with the initial quality looking at these rifles at the local gun shop.  I love the look of the "hogback" stock.

Doc has it right, the 9.3 x 62 is comparable to a .35 Whelen.   If your interested in the 9.3 x64 Brenneke, which is comparable to a .375 H&H why not just with a CZ550 Magnum chambered for the .375 H&H?  Just a thought.
