Recently purchased a CZ-52 which appears to be in "Very good condition." I noticed the slide-frame fit seems a bit loose. I've only handled one other CZ-52 which was a cut away model with the parts exposed and that was a very tight pistol. The few other people I've talked to said it's fairly " normal". Just wondering what the official censuses is? :o
To me the CZ-52 does have rough machining works here and there, particularly on the grip area. I know it's not a high end custom 1911 but rather a military service pistol. So my expectations are set differently.

I pulled my CZ52 out and checked the slide fit-up.
The slide on mine is a very nice & tight fit and cycles smoothly.

Interesting... Mine appears to be a late Arsenal refurb with a VOP code of 99 then RID 53.
Question.. Does your rifling in your barrel appear shallow? Others in the past on here have mentioned these pistols might use polygonal rifling. It's the strangest thing, cosmetically the pistol looks used very little as does the internals. But the barrel lands almost look flat.

If you read through all of the information about the Tokarev round, you'll find that the original Russian ammunition was acidic and that instructions to the early users was to wash the bore with water after shooting to reduce the effect of corrosion.
Since so much of this was made surplus, many people bought it in quantities, not knowing about the proper cleaning.
Looking at your photo, it could also be lead build-up. Consider using a foaming bore cleaner and may even a Lewis (or equal) Lead Remover arbor to see if it improves.
When shopping for C&R's at gun shows I always carry my bore light to check out the bore before buying.

Could his loose slide be caused by worn roller bearings? Replaceable if you can find em.

I bought my CZ52 from Schluder Shots at a gun show in Robstown, TX. He told me his first gun was a CZ52.
His business acquires non-working guns and then he disassembles and sells the fair-to-good condition parts.

I bought this off Gunbroker ( auction site) The seller insisted that it was " free of corrosion" truth be told I still need to work something out with him either refund or some money back. I did take a Q-tip or cotton stick to the bore and it seems to come off which is strange. It's almost like a blue powder of some sort. It looks identical to some corroded brass 223 casings I have which have been exposed to water. I've collected many milsurps before and dealt with corrosive ammo which I promptly use Ballistol to neutralize the salts. I'm no stranger to corrosive ammo.

If you happen to live in Georgia, I just saw a very nice CZ 52 in a Cleveland Georgia gun store. Can look em up if you are interested. Hope this doesn't violate some forum rule? Not my shop and nothing in it for me other than finding a great pistol a home. : )

I'm out west in Oregon. Do you happen to recall the price? I'd be glad to take a look. I also made this quick video so everyone could see to what extent this CZ-52 rattles. Sorry for the quality I filmed it on a old I-Pad mini the quality isn't the best.

Store was Straight Shooters Guns and Ammo in Cleveland Georgia. First time I had been there. Seemed like good folks. They have a huge German Shepard who "owns" the store. He sniffs every single person coming in. I guess he's security? :) Sweet tempered dog.
Gotta love mom and pop gun stores!! Anyway, I can't remember the price. Last CZ 52 I bought was some time ago for $150 and included the holster! Man I MISS those prices!!!

Oh, I wish I could find another CZ 52 for a price like that. I haven't lately, especially since lock-down. <sigh>
A little bit of rattle in a mil spec pistol like the CZ 52 is expected. I think you're hearing the rollers inside the slide when you shake it. The clicking you hear has been true on my pistol.
One thing that is odd about your pistol is that it has no arsenal rebuild stamps until the "VOP 99" stamp when it was refurbished before being exported to the US. That is rare. Your pistol may not have been issued before it was inspected and sold off. Is it still phosphate gray? If so, that was a refinish done during the VOP rebuild before export.
Your bore looks a little corroded. Clean it and see if it looks smoother. The bore should be chrome plated to prolong its life with corrosive Warsaw Pact primers, but as rdcinhou mentioned you should wash the bore and breach face after shooting with soap and water, and then dry and oil both.
