Seems like a couple of months ago you could find them readily available for $600 or so. Now, there are a couple on GB but not many. Seems like CZ 75 Comact & CZ 75 D is still available but not the P-01.
Is this a CZ batch run issue or are the P-01 Omegas slowly being phased out?
-
The P-01 Omega was discontinued. Current production P-01 are the non-Omega 91199 and 01199.
-
They can still be found so if you want one better grab it while you can.
-
Just search and they are out there, but not for cheap. They have their advantages, but you might want to show up at a large GS and try - this way you get to see what the trigger is really like. They, like other CZs tend to be all over the map.

My LGS in Tennessee shows the P-01 Omega in stock, but the price since December has risen from 600 to 720.

I do as I bought mine for 580 the first week of December.

There fewer of them on Gunbroker lately.

I am sure glad I got mine a couple months ago. It was in the store as a used one for $425. It showed no wear at all so I figured only a few rounds through it at most. I shoot it very good. It is the best non-1911 I have ever owned. It is a keeper.

So I did snag a P-01 Omega. They were getting hard to find. I got one thru GB for $700. Back in November I got one on Buds for $570. Wish I would have gotten two at the time but still glad to get one now at $700.

Good choice I've had mine for a while and have a couple thousand rounds through it without any failures at all.

Bought mine a year ago at BPS $650. Not sorry in the slightest. Like most Omegas the trigger starts to get a lot better around the 300 round mark . If you are used to poly frame pistols it may feel a little snappy at first as the alloy frame seems to transfer more recoil . This was easily solved with a pair of LOK grips. One other issue I had out of the box was it would chuck spent casings 20 feet or more often hitting people in other stalls at the indoor range. I solved this by replacing the polly guide rod and flat spring with 75 compact stainless guide rod and matching 19 lb round recoil spring ( no unusual wear 1000 rounds in ) Since then it has been canjunized and upgraded with Dawson fiber sights and is my absolute favorite 9mm firearm that I own. It's beautiful, reliable and ergonomically perfect for me as configured. That being said if what you are looking for is a good DA/SA pistol of this size for carry and functionality I would recommend P07 OMEGA . Cost $500 shoots like a $1000 dollar pistol in my humble opinion

Not a CZ veteran, but as Vinny said the P07 is a super good buy and an excellent gun and very accurate.

The CZ P01 omega was discontinued for 2023, if you can even find one now, they are over $800 not including shipping, tax and FFL charges. Glad I bought an extra one.

Anyone wanting one should take the time to look. I just found 4 between Gun Broker and Armslist in the sub $700 range. They are out there and can be had for reasonable prices you just have the weed through the opportunists trying to overprice them.

Per that thread on the CZ catalog it appears you can get an aluminum frame P01 with thumb safeties or an aluminum frame P01 with a decocking lever on the left side of the frame.
Even if the Omega is no longer available you can choose thumb safeties or decocker and buy the one you want.
-
If you know of a P01 (obviously alloy frame) with 75 action and a thumb safety PLEASE send me a link. Been wanting a P02 for some time. Thanks.

Check your PM's. I sent you a link to a standard P-01.

Are you referring to the UB catalog that was posted? If so it doesn't help people in the US. Here are the two current P-01 models in the US = 91199 and 01199. Standard and low cap decocker models. For people in the US just look at the CZ-USA website to see what's current.

I have a question. My brother bought new, probably 10 years ago, a P-02. It is to my eye a P-01 with an omega trigger, rail, safety. When was the P-02 designation discontinued, and how desirable does the P-02 designation make it?
-
A P02 is a CZ75 P01 but with a manual safety - a completely different animal than the Omega. The P02 has CZ 75 lockwork like a regular CZ 75B.
I would like one because you can disassemble it SO much easier than the P01 with its manual decocker - thus, you can work on a butter smooth trigger in much easier fashion, and can carry it C/L IF you want.
With a FPB, it is very easy and low risk to decock by blocking the hammer with the thumb, taking your finger OFF the trigger, and then rolling the thumb away. I even do it with PreBs, but it is safer with the B model.
IMHO the P02 is more desirable and you cannot get them.
The advantage over the Omega is that the 75 lockwork has more potential and again, what I interpret as 'lock time' is shorter in the 75.

not to be anal. but please decipher
"can carry it C/L IF you want" and "With a FPB".

C/L = Cocked and locked
FPB = firing pin block
