Title: are there any synthetic aftermarket stocks for
Post by: czman on January 03, 2004, 01:13:53 PM
the 527 FS in .223, I really like the wood stock but I`m worried about point of impact change due to moisture and humidty, also can the action and barrel work in a regular 527 stock, i realize the barrel in probably shorter than on the other guns. thanks, any input welcome if you have experience with this gun.DEAN/CZMAN

The lenght of barrel is'nt extra-ordinary: any stock made for a CZ-527 will fit your barrelled action with the exception of the Varmint(due to heavy barrel, the thinner barrel will seem ill-fitted in a Varmint stock.

As anyone tried to contact HS Precision to see if they sell after market stocks (don't forget to specify model and version).

I like to give a gun some time to see IF it will change its point of impact. some just remain stable, others do not.

A few things you can do; Remove the action from the stock and give the barrel channel a liberal coating of Johnsons furniture paste wax.  OR  Give the inside of the stock a shot of Varathane, varnish, etc   DO allow it time to dry thoroughly before sticking the action and stock together .

You may not need another stock.
