Title: New Czech Firearm Owner!

Joining this forum after getting a VZ-58 (Built off of a D-Technik reciever)
Really excited to get to shoot it.
I do have two questions, what are the quickest parts to break (I like to have extras) and also is anyone selling the original style folding stock?

D-Technik is the former Czech Small Arms that bought all machinery and spare parts from CZ-UB.

Gunbroker and vz58usa.com generally have folding stocks from domestic sellers.  Vz58rifle.com is a foreign seller that often has them as well.

Believe there's a sticky here on spare parts for both milsurp and aftermarket.

But offhand:
Bonesteel's spare Vz58 parts are generally high quality. 
Some gunbroker sellers are selling out of arsenal spare parts crates, so new old stock milsurp, while others are selling from used parts kits. 
Some parts like trigger are proprietary to CSA, so need to buy spares from Czechpoint for those.  And Czechpoint's spare parts usually specify if used or new as well as if new or original milsurp production, but pretty much all in useable condition AFAIK. 
Numrich and Sarco historically have had rough milsurp demilled spares for their inventory.
RobertRTG has a few decent high quality milsurp spare parts.
Apex is all over the map in quality and appears to have bought Century's remaining inventory for Vz2008s as well as maybe getting some other batches in (maybe from Israel?).  But their inventory has been declining and hasn't been meaningfully replenished AFAIK.

Am sure there are others both domestically and a whole lot internationally, including those mentioned in folding stock option above as well.

Definitely stock up on the standard consumables: firing pins, springs, small detents (CNC Warrior sells some of those on occasion), other bolt parts, pistons, etc.

My Czechpoint Sporter was nib in spring 2019.8
I've counted 3,800 rds. used (I keep a piece of each cardboard box), with zero issues. I allow very limited barrel temps and never abuse this superb rifle.

Out of the spare parts you suggest having, are either of the two main springs normally the first to need replacement?

Also, the large stock bolt/screw was removed about three times, and I tried to never overtighten it.
The original Sporter furniture (ie butt stock) is available as a back-up for the beaver barf reddish furniture.

The striker spring and action/recoil spring work in concert when the action is cycling to arrest the bolt carrier and may be used parts on Vz2008s, but should be new on Czechpoint.

But yes, offhand: replacing those, the piston return spring, and the extractor spring are the primary maintenance items on the spring front.
