Purchased the CGW 13lb hammer spring, extended firing pin with spring and the reduced power safety plunger spring. What results should I expect regarding DA and SA weights? I am currently running a 15lb hammer spring and am getting approx 8.14 DA and 4.7 SA.

I have a 13 pound hammer spring in my Accushadow 2. The DA pull is 7.5 pounds and the SA pull is 3.25 pounds. I'm using a stock firing pin with the 13 pound hammer spring and it's working fine.

Somewehere in the 7’s for DA and 3 for SA. You might be able to lower it by 1/2 lb with the CGW lightened trigger return spring (TRS). BTW, you should have an extra one of those around anyway since that is a wear part.

Thanks for the info, based on your results I might just change the hammer spring first and test it before switching out the FP. I was hoping to stay about 4lbs in SA but will have to see.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. Did not order the lighter trigger return spring but might look at this option also.

While you’re at it, get the CGW floating trigger pin. The OEM trigger pin is a roll pin and is a PITA to re-install. The floating pin is solid and much easier to install.

Thanks, already have one

I picked up some springs to test in my P01 omega. I did install an extened firing pin with spring.
With the stock spring I was getting SA 3 lb 11 oz and DA was over 12 lb. My Lyman gauge maxes out at 12 lb.
I put a 13 lb in it and got SA 3 lb 15 oz and DA 10 lb 3 oz.
Then put in the 11.5 lb spring and got SA 3 lb 11 oz and DA 7 lb 12 oz.
When I couldn't get pistol primers I was using small rifle primers and since they are quite a bit harder I had to put my stock spring back in it. I have about 700 of them to go and then will get back to the small pistol primers and put the 13 back in it.

It seems like you've been able to achieve some improvements in both single-action (SA) and double-action (DA) trigger weights with different spring options.
Thanks for sharing your experience, and keep up the good work in exploring different configurations for your CZ P01 Omega

Well this is different, installed the 13lb hammer spring to replace the 15lb spring I was running and my DA pull increased almost half a pound while the SA dropped a half pound. Real head scratcher.
Update: installed the extended firing pin and reduced power safety plunger spring and final trigger readings are 8.4 DA and 4.2 SA.
Next up is the CGW flat trigger

I've run into somelight strikes with the 13lb blue spring as well across a couple of my CZ's that I installed the Pro Package in. I simply moved up to the 15lb spring in everything and that cured the issue completely. I know in the past the blue spring didn't seem to be a problem as there were few if any complaints but the fact is they could have gotten a batch of springs that are weaker than their advertised lb/rate.

SVPP: I figured I would get to this. I'll see what CGW responds back to me with on Monday hopefully. How much did the 15# trigger affect your DA and SA pull/feel of the Pro-Package upgrade?
I have not put a gauge on it but honestly I can't feel any difference between the 2 different springs. I carry my CZ's so I'm going to use the spring that gives me 100% reliability with every type of ammo.

I have the pro pkg installed on several of my CZs. I’ve not had any light strikes. Am not doubting you, but my experiences with CGW have been superb.
I put in an ultra lite kit in my 75b stainless, & it works like a charm too, to include my CCI primed reloads

Yep and I had a 13lb spring in a 75B from several years ago that never faltered but the newer versions seem to be making the guns or some guns ammo sensitive. We know there are some primers which are harder than others to set off. I got light strikes in 3 guns from 3 different 13lb springs so I had to move up to what made the gun reliable and the 15lb spring did the trick. I do handload and I do have some known hard primers so I need springs that will reliably ignite everything.
Some guys use the 11lb spring and with that one CGW recommends Federal primers only for reliable ignition.

Interesting. I had one light strike on my P-01 out of 50 rounds the other day after putting a CGW 13lb spring in. I had none in about 200 rounds prior to that with the same ammo (Fiocchi 115gr). I’m about to put a CGW extended firing pin in but keep the stock spring, since this is my CCW. I chalked up the one light strike to the ammo, but now I’m wondering. Glad I already planned to put the extended pin in.

You could still chalk it up to the ammo since Fiocchi tends to have primers on the harder side. That's were the balancing act with lighter springs comes in. If you were shooting federal or handloading with Federal primers which we know are about the softest primer out there then you probably would never have an issue.
