Title: CZ 75B DAO
Post by: david s on June 14, 2023, 03:57:47 PM
How common are the CZ 75B DAO (Double Action Only) models. No thumb safety just a pin where the safety should be and a bobbed hammer. It's from the year 2000. Were they good, bad or indifferent.

Have only seen one and it was in 40 S&W.  It was hard to put it down and walk away.  Think price was under $550.

Brought in with the intention of catering to US law enforcement market during the revolver to semiautomatic transition phase. Likely too late to tap the market by 2000? Functions fine like one would expect of a service DAO with factory trigger. Unlike most of the 3rd gen S&W DAO with their pre-cocked action, this is a true DAO.

In looking at various threads here and on other forums it seems there were either 50 or 100 of these brought into the U.S. in both 9mm and 40 S&W. From what I've read the trigger pull is basic CZ 75 long double action. The one I saw was listed at $600 so about middle of the road pricing.

D stands for decocker. Cz75 bd is the decocker version of the cz 75 b. Cz75b has manual safety.
The CZ 75B DAO without safety would be very rare to find.

welcome

not that common.  You do see from time to time if you keep your eyes peeled or search specifically for them.

If you want one and come across one, dont be wishy washy...
