I ran across these two Pre B's in the same store, in complete opposite ends of a large display case. Only after seeing them both, and asking to see them in hand, I realized they are consecutive serial numbers. I really didnt have the money to buy them both, so I did what any red blooded American would do, I put them on my charge card. They were surplus pistols and in rough cosmetic condition, but in great mechanical shape. I had them ceracoted in a satin black with glossy controls, then bought the beautiful KSD grips for them ...And this is what they look like now....

I think they really turned out nice, and I'm quite proud of them.

Tried to load more pics but Imgur just will NOT cooperate...I have no patience with that site.

Thanks guys. I'm quite proud of them....

Absolutely gorgeous. Nice score in finding these and keeping them as a pair! I need to do this on a couple of pre-B’s as well and appreciate the inspiration. I like that you remembered to hit that safety indicator with red. Did they Cerakote that or was it a paint pen or ??

I drop a drop of silver in the hole with a toothpick, then do the same with red. Just spray some in the cap, and dip the toothpick in it. Self levels and looks great… thanks for noticing the finer details…

Thanks for the pro tip! I’m going to practice that on one of my project guns before I refinish it for real. 8)

Those sexy twins now beg for a bespoke walnut wood box « duelling pistols pair » style ;)

I have the Nill version of those grips , I almost went for the KSD for the price, but having already owned Nill match grips for my revolver went for the Nill. also how the Nill matched to the back of the frame as well as meet the front of the frame grip that little bit closer and makes a huge difference in comfort and grip.
Can I ask how the swell is if any? I might pick up a set for my 1977 short rail.

Stunning!
I second the idea about the dual pistol box.

Wow what a deal. What's the odds of finding two like that again. And now look brand new. Good job.
