Going back in time it was often seen to have a father pass on his favorite rifle to his son or daughter. The last 30 years have brought rifles which end up as spare parts at gunsmiths thruout the world. For a rifle mfgr. to come out with a new rifle for the U.S. market which is de-bugged(production is red-hot & Q.A. is high) is rare at an affordable price. A little trick which rifle mfgr. used to do was having parts made out of stamping, casted aluminum or plastic, some designs were fine but ''Ambition kills its creator''. A whole bunch of rifle mfgr. got making baddly design and/or engineered rifles and leaving a new word in the rifle dictionary: JAMOMATIC. Few of the rifle mfgrs. have kept doing fine firearms made of steel with new world technology.
Who would you like to be brought to the $/quality roster?
