I finally took my new B6 out to the range for its first testing at the range this weekend.
I know this has been a LONG time coming, and I have no excuses......and no pics. :-\ I was out working with my young nephew to get him ready for the upcoming hunting season, and this session was definitely second burner.
But, on to the good part here. There were no problems with my B6, it ran like a top; reminding me why I preferred all the clones in my past. Accuracy was exactly what I remembered from all my other clones, I was able to pick out small shards of rock/clays on the pistol backstop and place them into a dustcloud if I did my part at 25 yards. This made me very happy, as this B6 enjoys the exact same loads as all my other clones did many years ago.
This makes me even more irritated at myself for getting out of my old tool choices, and spending a load of cash on other, less capable, tools for my needs.....all at the urging of a trainer that was a complete glock style pusher. He just could not get past the safety lever setup on a cz75 style system, and only suggested a striker type of system.....I have since come to the understanding that I have plenty of time to make my gun safe ( and I make this time, every time) in order to get to a DA first strike; and after that period is over, then there is the time for speed (if need be) in order to make the tool work as needed in a bad situation.
As an addendum to my happiness with my B6, I must recommend the Night Fision sights on a clone. They are sooo much better/easier to use than the OEM sights. They are larger, the sights are made to work better under speed than the OEM, and need I say.....tritium?

Glad you eventually got a chance to fire your new B6 and that it's working well for You!!! :)
Sometimes Life gets in the way of having Range Time! :(
I know what you mean when it comes to some trainers and gun "experts".
Had the same problem at my Pistol Club with some USPSA/IPSC Range Officers.
A few of them thought I was being unsafe when manually decocking my .45 Witness
to start a Match Run in DA mode. Fortunately, the Match Directors set them straight.
When I choose to carry a Cz or Cz Clone, it's always in DA first shot mode.

It seems like striker fired pistols are moving closer and closet to unlocked single action pistols than the dad pistols they were meant to replace. I prefer either true double action pistols or single action pistols. I carry my clones cocked and locked. I don't think clicking the safety off will cost me enough time to matter and I shoot much better in single action than double action.

He claimed that me shifting my grip a bit to deal with the safety was the deal killer, and I fell for it.
And when I suggested doing the DA/SA decocking step prior to holstering, he almost wanted off the range....seemed that everything needs to run at full screaming speed, no matter when/what/even if you have NO hurry at the moment to do what you need to do.
Other than that bit, he had good solid training/info to pass along. I chalked it up to no one is perfect, and education is expensive.
