Title: Burris Rings for a 550 Varmint Laminate
Post by: craigp40 on March 12, 2004, 06:51:41 AM
I just received my new CZ 550 Varmint Laminate 22-250, but the dealer sent me the wrong CZ rings.  They aren't wide enough to fit the bases, so I'm guessing they are for a 527 or smaller.

Anyway, I'm gonna try to get them to ship me another set, but if they don't have them can someone tell me if the Burris rings will fit?  I think they only come in a medium height, so I'm concerned that the bolt might not clear my scope.  The scope I'm using is a Leupold 6.5-20x40mm.  Anyone have experience with these rings who can offer some guidance?
Thanks!

I have a .308 in the 550 laminate and I just mounted a Leupold 8.5-25x50 using the CZ medium height 30mm rings and they were plenty tall enough. No problem with bolt or scope clearance at all. I don't believe you will have a bit of a problem mounting or using the 6.5-20X40 with the CZ rings.
