I bought a new DWX a few weeks ago and I have run approx 150 rds through the pistol. I am very impressed with the accuracy and quality of the pistol. But, I have had a few FTF issues using the Winchester 115 gm FMJ ammo. I keep the pistol extremely clean.
I was at the range yesterday and had a couple of FTF issues again. Pistol was clean when I started. Seems like the round gets stuck before its chambered and then the back of barrel gets stuck against the back side of extractor port. So I drop the magazine then I have to tap the top of barrel in the extractor port to dislodge the round before I can rack the slide back.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks,

I would start with different ammo Winchester White Box is something I will not buy ever again!! I have had no luck with any firearm and that ammo. It is the easiest and simplest start.

I would do as bikeridertim suggested. A lot of people seem to have problems with Winchester White Box ammo. I might add a suggestion to try 124 gr, or better yet 124 gr NATO ammo. The little bit stouter load can help loosen things up during the initial break in period. After a couple of hundred rounds of a heavier load you may find that the 115 gr works just fine.
I haven't tried the regular 115 gr white box, but I have used Winchester 124 gr NATO ammo, and even a few Winchester 115 gr JHP and my DWX handled them all just fine. I normally use a lot of Blazer Brass in either 124 or 115 gr and that brand seems to work well in everything I shoot it from.
-
Thanks for the suggestions! I was wondering if the ammo could cause the issue. 124 gr is pretty hard to find over here but I will continue looking. 115 seems more readily available so I will try some other brands and Blazer is available at a couple of the shops.
I am having issues with another pistol that i returned recently to the warranty center. I ran six different brands of ammo through it one day a week ago to be sure ammo wasn't causing the problem before I returned it.

Would you care to give us a general locale ?

Sorry about that. I was in a hurry to post a thread about the issue I was having! I am in San Antonio, TX and will add to profile. Thanks,

Cleaned up the pistol tonight and oiled it lightly so I will probably go out to range in the next day or two with some different ammo. I picked up some Federal ammo today, plus, I probably have some other brands here at home I can dig up.
I am quite impressed with the quality of manufacturing. Fitment is very good. I usually polish the rails on most new pistols I've bought because tiny burrs show up after racking slide a time or two when new that cause more wear. But this DWX has such a good finish there's hardly any wear on the rails. I do like to use syn gun grease sparingly, but I will try running with some gun oil this next trip.

SGAmmo in Stilwater OK will gladly ship you all the 124 gr (Blazer Brass or S&B) for $259/case of 1000

Was that on there when you had the first trouble ? I've never had good results with any type of grease. While it does stay in place, it's far too viscous for this application. I use 0W20 Mobil-1 exclusively.

Thanks! I may go by a couple of LGSs or Bass Pro and see what they have.

Yes, I did have some grease on the rails, but very sparingly. I cleaned it up again and will run oil and see how it does. Maybe the grease does slow down the action since the fitment is much tighter, but i use it on all of my pistols. I've got plenty of syn motor oils including Mobil-1 and T6 I could put in a dropper bottle and try out. Thanks,

My Shadow 2 Orange would not consistently cycle with any amount of grease on the rails. So far, that was my only CZ that required just oil on the rails to run properly.

I found a box of Winchester 124 grain in one of my ammunition tubs so I grabbed it and took a box of 200 Winchester 115 gr to the range today. A friend of mine said to check rds as they are loaded in mags so there's no gap.
Plus, as I mentioned earlier I did clean the gun and lubricated it with gun oil instead of grease. That was my mistake for not following the instructions in manual.
So I ran about 20 rds of the 124 through it and did not have any hiccups. Then I ran a couple of magazines with the 115 and the pistol ran fine without any hiccups.
I'm wondering if I should buff the ramp a little bit? Again, I didn't have any fail to feed issues today running the gun lubricated with oil only.
Thanks for the help!
PS I just installed the imgur app on my phone but I can't figure out how to create BBC codes from loaded images so they can be posted on forums.

Lightly buffing/polishing the barrel feed ramp is a plus IMO.

Good to hear !

I'm ready to go to the range again!
So the trigger does show a very small wear spot but I am not concerned about it. I bought it to shoot. A few other people have commented elsewhere on the wear their triggers are showing.

Here are the two types of ammo I was using this past weekend.
