Title: RAMI Front Sight Info
Post by: ramnj on December 17, 2023, 09:45:01 AM
I’m going to change the front sight on my RAMI but noticed two notches. I looked inside the slide and they don’t go all the way through the slide. Don’t want to cause any damage so wanted to ask if anybody know what they are for.

TIA.

• Those look like center-punch marks to me. Maybe the original fit was too loose. They won't stop you.

• I believe the sight has a direction it prefers to be taken out from. Ask.

The front sight is staked to prevent unwanted movement.

I checked my 2075 BD.

It looks like it went IN from the left since it is wider on that end.
That would indicate to tap it out from the right.

Punch marks on mine are more at the end left and right ends on the muzzle side.
