Hello CGW folks
I’m considering buying a used P-01 Omega today for $500. What questions would you suggest that I ask, what should I look for when I field strip the gun, what should I look for when I test fire it? This will be my primary CCW. Thank you

I have a fully Cajuned P01 Omega and is one of my favorite carry guns. IMO $500 is a good price.
They are pretty solid pistols IMO.

Some of them reportedly have an issue with the de-cockers walking out under certain circumstances. Could be that ones you find for sale on the used market were gotten rid of because of that issue. Not sure exactly how you would test for that... seems like I recall reading people being able to re-create the problem by dry firing, or actuating the hammer or trigger in a certain way. I have no personal experience with it... the de-cockers in my P-07's are going nowhere unless I have the slide off and am purposefully mashing down on the ejector and then prying underneath the de-cocker lever with a fingernail or other non-marring tool.

I did a trade for a partially CGW P01 and I am happy with it for the most part. For $500 it's a solid deal.

My favorite carry is my PCR but if I find a P01 for $500 its mine

I have one and has become my favorite range gun. On the side of the slide is the year of manufacture and the latest ones have been fixed. There was a discussion of that here probably several times. Do a search for that. Mine is a 2022 model.
