When mounted they look pretty cool. Now considering one.
Quite frankly a warlike appearance is quite appealing.

I don't have a VZ58 (yet!) but I do have a BRNO VZ24 8mm Mauser that I obtained at a gun show.
It was missing some vital parts, but I was able to find and install them without incident.
I then looked for the correct bayonet for it to help make it complete.
The only thing still missing is the cleaning rod, not because I cannot find one, but that the channel to insert it appears to bottom out due to an obstruction.
My reason for adding it was to make it a fully complete and functional artifact, but the bayonet could come in useful if we are ever in a shooting situation and you run out of ammo.

For how relatively little the surplus 58 bayonets are, why not? It's the Bren bayonets that cost a lot for being glorified steak knives in the end.

You need one for in the event of zombies, if nothing else...
Importantly, Vz58 bayos are bayos. They had separate pocket and fighting knives issue. Gen4 bayo was only combo Mikov fighting knife blade and bayonet like was the NATO standard for far longer -- believe 90s, maybe 00s for Gen4, and forget offhand...

It wasn’t a VZ but I bought the Rifle because I had the bayonet!
