For those who have experience w/ P07s, do you carry them? Looking for experiences and feedback on the P07 for defensive carry purposes. I currently carry my Sig P365 or my P250SC.
I have a P09 and both a P10c & s, but am wanting a DA/ SA for carry. I really like the P09, but it’s a bit large for carry, especially in the summer.
So, what say you about the P07

Got my P07 DUTY .40 S&W back in about 2012 or 2013, maybe. Carried it as it came out of the box for a couple years and then got the slide milled for a Trijicon and back up iron sight. Been carrying like that, except for replacing a worn out Trijicon with a Holosun, ever since. Year round, no matter how hot/muggy or cold it is. It's my concealed carry gun. I do carry a different gun when I open carry around my yard, garage, back lot, etc.
No failures at the range. I only shoot my reloads in it. So far, while testing other brands of pistols with different ammo I've not found any store bought ammo that shoots like my reloads.
How much do I like it? For fear of it maybe breaking beyond my ability to replace it with a current made P07 .40 (since CZ quit making them) I bought another old DUTY .40 S&W P07 last year to put away for insurance.
Only parts I replaced (not for failures but for insurance against failures) are the addition of CGW reduced power trigger return spring, reduced power firing pin block spring and firing pin retaining pin.

In 2013, I carried my P-07 for a short time, but couldn't get used to it. It was just to large for me to comfortably conceal. I transitioned through a few others until in 2019 I settled on the Goldilocks of CCW, the P365 and haven't looked back. Full disclosure, I have two P-07s. They are excellent firearms and serve me well for non-carry SD purposes.

i carry my P07s for sure. usually in a Black Arch IWB holster. similar size to my vp9 and walther pdp. being da/sa with a decocker the p07 is perfect for cafe carrying.

I carried mine IWB until my wife claimed it for herself. I felt like the thinner grip was a little easier to conceal than my P-01. Overall, it was pretty much a toss up between the two.

If you want a DA/SA it is great. I do think it is a bit thick, but the grip is thin enough so it is concealable, and it shoots about as good or better than any CZ.
My sticking point is to try to buy IN PERSON. Triggers can be ALL over the map on CZs and if they don't stack, have EXCELLENT potential.

I've watched several of his videos on reviews of the M&P handguns and the new pistol caliber carbine.
He needs to do some fact checking on this one though. Made some mistakes.
I do agree with him at the end. I like the P01 Omega but I carry the P07.

P-07 is a great pistol. If you're looking for a DA/SA gun of that size it's an excellent choice.

I found one today, surprisingly at my local Cabela’s for a good price& after my mil discount and cabela bucks, it came home after tax for 399. A good day for me, especially since I didn’t have to go into the dog house when I informed my wife of the great deal I got ;D
Now to clean it and give it a work out at the range this Sat alongside my P09

That's an awesome deal man. I was in Cabela's yesterday and they didn't have any CZs. Usually they have a nice little mixture of CZs.

I did a trigger pull side by side comparison with my P09 ( which I’ve used quite a bit over the years). The new P07 has a heavier and less smooth trigger pull, both in DA & SA, not unexpectedly.
Will work it some at the range & will report back.
A few observations thus far.
1- this P07 has a loaded chamber indicator on the extractor, my P09 does not
2- the P07 came with a dummy cartridge & replacement green primers- first I’ve seen one of these
3- mags interchange with my P10c, but the base plates of my P10c mags are thicker
4- as expected the P07 fits my P09 holsters. What surprised me was the P07 fit reasonably well in some sig P320 F holsters
Am pleased with the gun, will need to run it at the range some before I give it a full thumbs up.

Quick range report/ update
My new P07 ran like it should, no drama there. I did fairly well, but it was the last gun I shot today ( shot my Sig P320 45c, Ruger GP100) so was tired.
Still I did enjoy the gun and ended with a drill, shooting 2 targets while retreating with all rds hitting where they should.
All in all am glad I got it.
Next task is to install the CGW spring kit I just recieved and Angry Bear tritium sights due in tomorrow

Good to hear you like it and like the way it works for you.
They can be awesome pistols right out of the box (except for the optics ready thing.) I thought mine were worth the cost of milling the slides though. Don't regret it a bit.

So was able to install all the springs from CGW ( hammer, plunger, firing pin and trigger return) and install the tritium sights from Angry Bear without any cursing or frustration ;)
I like the results so far in dry firing and with my laser cartridge. Will bring it out to the range soon and give it a run and report back.
Will give credit to the prompt delivery and reasonable prices from both vendors..

I carry mine a lot, probably more than any of the others recently. It has a Cajun Gun Works trigger and reduced power trigger spring, the Cajun trigger is just more comfortable for me than the stock trigger. I use Federal 124gr standard pressure HST's in it, they feed flawlessly.

Took my P07 to my monthly USPSA match yesterday. The gun ran fine, helping me come in 2d in production division. Very pleased with it and the bold front sight I installed helped with target acquisition.
I’ll be shooting and using this gun more as I want to get comfortable with it to carry- I see no issues with that.
Only problem I had was with my reloads. Several were difficult to extract at the end of the stage during “unload and show clear”. Strange as I don’t have any issues with my P10c with my reloads. Guess all CZ chambers are not the same. Regardless the gun ran without a bobble and shot where I aimed it at.

No, all CZ chambers are not the same. I remember thinking the P09's were probably a little "sloppier" than the CZ75/P01 guns and set up my bullet seating die using the P01 barrel (I was carrying my P01 9MM that day. They plunked fine in the P01 barrel. Got to the range, shot a few in the P01, pulled the P09 out of the bag, loaded some rounds in the chamber and the very first one hung up bad, not allowing the slide to lock fully forward. Could not get the slide to pull back by hand and finally placed it on the corner of the bench just right to allow me to push down on the grip and get the slide unjammed. I take a cleaning rod to the range with my now and do not rely on one pistol as a check for others.
As I often say, since I bought my P07 DUTY .40 I've bought bucket loads of other pistols (CZ, M&P, XD, SIG) and I still carry that old P07 DUTY most of the time I carry. I've got 2 times what the pistol cost me in slide milling, sights, refinishing and dot optic on it and it's worth it.
