Well I have to say I’m impressed. This piece performed VERY well… much better than I expected. I did have one FTE out of the 200 rounds put through it. Not sure if it was the ammo or if it just needed a touch more lube. After the FTE I gave her a quick squirt of CLP and didn’t have any failures in the next 130 rounds.
The sights were right on from the first shot and like I posted before the trigger is excellent. I’m heading back to see if there are any left in the case this week. At $370 this is a hard to beat bargain.
Anyway, the results. The top group is at 7 yds and the bottom group is at 15. And yes…I’m fully at fault for the low left stringing lol. She shoots like a dream.

Yes sir yes sir 8) Is that with all the springs it came with, or did you have to change any?

I didn’t have to make any changes to the gun. With results like this I won’t change a thing. I’ll put together a “spare parts kit” for it and call it a day.

Good Shooting and glad your Series 88 Tanfoglio Pistol is working very well for you! 8) :)

Fantastic!! I am happy you got one ready to go.
The one I picked up got from my uncle wasn't shot in like 10 years and had all this caked up grease. I cleaned it and replaced springs as some were also caked up.

Wow, looks like an alien was murdered inside that gun.

Hahaha yea it was very bad. CLP helped tremendously. I applied some fresh gun grease on the rails and inside of frame, trigger bow, etc. I added oil on other parts.

It didn't turn out bad, especially for it being my first time tinkering with something that has so many intricate parts. Also, the front sight after some paint.
