I was bitten (or maybe smitten) when I saw and read about the S2C. The high prices made me slow down and shop until I could find one at the MSRP, which I found in April. I’ve just run 200 rounds thru it, but I’m happy to have it. I’ve had no function issues, the SA and DA triggers pulls are good enough that Ill be fully satisfied after a “wear-in” period, the zero was good out of the box, I like the grip size and texture, and I think the balance is very good. I agree with comments I’ve read that the thumb safety is so small as to be difficult to manipulate, otherwise I have no complaints. So, I’ll eventually find a replacement thumb safety and may eventually install an RMR that wasn’t being used (I like the stock iron sights, but since almost every other gun I own has a red dot …). Anyhow, just a quick post of first impressions and to give the S2C a thumbs up.

Congrats on your new find. Enjoy it. It’s my favorite now.

I'm jealous; can't find one at MSRP

Palmetto State Armory is advertising the Shadow 2 Compact for MSRP.

Question: Was a second thumb safety lever included with your Shadow 2 Compact?
CZ packs a second thumb safety with the Shadow 2 that has a ridge that is longer (sticks out further).

Did not get a 2nd (wide) safety with my S2C or S2OR.

Only comes in the 91257 sku of the shadow 2.
OR model only is thin set as is S2 Compact

My recently purchased CZ Shadow 2 SA (91245) came with an extended safety installed AND an extra extended safety in the case.

Nice! Glad you're enjoying it! I felt like mine needed some trigger work OOB so I polished the internals a bit, installed a reach reduction kit and lighter main spring. Much, much better now. I also installed an extended safety. I hate those flat CZ safeties! While I was at it, I installed an extended mag release to try (not really needed but I was ordering a couple and figured one more wouldn't hurt). I also threw on a magwell just to make the grip a little more positive and comfortable. Aluminum GridLok grps finished it up. I like the little gun a bunch. Pleasant to shoot even tho it's light weight. I wish they'd introduce a steel framed version. That'd be extra fun. Next time I head to the range, I plan on shooting the S2C alongside my P01 steel frame and aluminum frames just to do a head to head comparison.

Thanks for the info on Palmetto State Armory. I bought a Shadow 2 compact from them and picked it up yesterday. Can't wait till the weekend so I can shoot it.

Grab a gun has them for a good price now.

Hinterland Outfitters $1199 for the Shadow 2 Compact. I've purchased from them and they are good to go.

Throw a set of red CZ aluminum grips on it, then you really got something!
