Hi, I bought a Sp01 Phantom, I think first series. It comes back with 2 magazine of MEC gar with 15 rounds. I need more magazine. I heard that some will non fit in my guns, other says no problem, what is the truth? I would buy MEC gar with 19 rounds. Thanks in advice.

Have a Gen 1. Factory and MecGar all function. SOME Mecars with the extended +2 base will not drop free IN MY gun. Others don’t have the issue. The CZ SP01 19 rnd mags with the full metal body work excellent.

Thank
you very much. The not ok magazine are still usable?

They work great. The magwell on my gun, and some others, is just a little too tight to let the empty mag drop free. Others have done a little hand sanding so they release. I’ve never bothered because I only have 2 of these mags.

I think some of the 19 round mecgars are a little "fat."
I bought a couple and used them to guide me in opening up the mag well inside my Pre B CZ85. Then had the gun refinished and replaced some springs and stuff. They worked great. I bought four more of them. Two worked fine. The other two would drag going in and not fall out of the mag. well I had bought some of those mags. for my youngest son's CZ75SA 9MM and we swapped back and forth. A couple of his worked in my pistol and the "fat" ones worked fine in his pistol.
Had worse issues with the 14 round .40 S&W Mecgars in my CZ75B .40 None of them worked with more than 13 rounds in them. Very difficult to get the 14 round in even with the maglula loader. Then they would not go in without being forced, hard, and they would not drop out unless completely empty. I took the Plus 2 bases off them to use elsewhere and those mags worked great as standard 12 round .40 magazines.
