Title: Serial number 09517

I have a ZKW465 in .22 hornet.

Serial number is 09517.

I’d like to know the date of manufacture and any other info about this rifle.

Can you point me in the right direction for info?

Is there a 2-digit number on the left side of the receiver? It should be right behind the lion proof mark.

The ZKW is another Koucky Design , designed by Josef and Franticek Koucky of Brno.
They started production in 1946 and I believe the manufacture was transferred to CZ so that most during and after 1949 were built by CZ.

Please post photos showing the markings.

The easiest way, that I personally use, is the Tapatalk app on my phone.
Without upgrading to VIP status you are limited to upload a single photo at a time.

Also the SEARCH feature from the homepage or witin a sub-Forum is good for finding information.

• You can't upload a photo because you haven't read the the CZF instructions mentioned above. Please rectify that situation.

Nice photos and you observed the rules for photo width! (You scored points with the Moderators!)

Yours was definitely made and proofed in 1949, so it is one of the early ones before second-sourcing.

At the top level of the Forum enter a search for ZKW and it will bring up everything that's here.
Open up each link in a NEW window and it will be easier to work your way down the found posts.

There isn't a whole lot on the Forum for the older long guns...I have a BRNO 8mm Mauser and I had to go to other forums to find information.
But...to help THIS forum please copy and paste what you find elsewhere HERE to help others. 

Posted links from elsewhere, generally will only work for a while (a couple of years at best).
