I'm thinking about getting a Dan Wesson TCP 9mm. I have a Guardian 9mm. If you have both of these handguns can you tell me if you like both equally as well? Thanks.

I have a TCP in 9mm and it’s a fine 1911. Don’t have a Guardian
What I like about the TCP-
- a well made, precise, attractive 1911.
- sights work well for me. A brass bead FS with a serrated rear helps me with rapid target acquisition without any sight picture clutter
- magwell works well for my rapid reloads in my competition games, enabling 10 rd mags
- accuracy is better than I can achieve
What I dislike about the TCP-
- wish it had a GI style recoil spring to simplify disassembly. The recoil spring must be captured and while not hard, it does add some complexity
-Magazines- specifically base pads. I’ve had some difficulty with over insertion of the OEM mags when aggressively reloading in my competition games. I resolved this by getting metal base pads from Dawson Precision.
Overall I really like the TCP. I plan on using it more in my games later this season
Hope this helps

Great review. Thanks for the pros and cons. Makes my decision much easier. Thanks.

I ordered a TCP 9mm yesterday. Anxious to compare it to my Guardian.

I picked up the new TCP a couple of days ago. I'm hoping to go shoot tomorrow.
