Very sweet deal! 8) :)

They've now been moved to "clearance", so still available. I really don't need another one, but it sure is tempting.
Still $199.99. Link Here. (https://palmettostatearmory.com/rock-island-mapp-fs-9mm-10-round-browing-shot-recoil-pistol-matte-black-51655.html?utm_medium=email&utm_source=daily_deals&utm_campaign=am&utm_term=09-10-2024&utm_content=772091)

Thanks!!!!
That is a great deal, ordered one tonight and having it shipped to my dealer.
Was going to look hard at a SAR 2000 for the metal frame variety, but this price point won out handily!

Keep looking for that SAR - no reason to not have both!

;D ;D ;D ;D I agree!!!! The only 2 drawbacks that this MAPP has are the lack of holster comparability with the B6 style pistol; and the fact that I cannot get night sights on the MAPP..... but I am not unhappy, just good with the purchase. I have owned more than a few Tanfos, and this one should be no different.
-
Just had a thought, and that thought migrated into a question.....hopefully not a stupid one..... O0
Does the MAPP have a firing pin block like the B6? ....as in does the "hammer down" make the firing pin contact the primer, or is there something there (within the trigger/slide mechanism) that removes that contact while the hammer down, and the trigger is not pulled?
My Tanfo days are a few river droplets past, and I am not recalling this tidbit of information.

Yes, the MAPP has the typical Tanfo firing pin block. It looks like a CZ, but works the opposite (drops instead of pushing up).
As for sights, contact RIA. I'm sure they can tell you what fits, or provide dimensions. I would think that the major sight suppliers would know as well. Mine came with a fixed rear sight. Right after I bought mine, I saw that they offered a model with an adjustable rear. They sent me an adjustable rear at no charge.

Firing pin block....as long as it is there: good.
The sights: front is integral to the slide.... not much to do there. Rear: dovetails are what they are.
The reason I made my comment is for night sights. I am addicted to night sights on my pistolas.....nothing more.
