hopefully a one off issue

More than a one off as others are complaining of the same malfunction. Without actually having the gun in hand it is definitely an extractor issue. Either too much tension or the extractor not moving freely in the channel or a combo of that. Could be the extractor just needs a bit of fitting too. Hopefully CZ addresses it sooner rather than later. This is a design that's been tried and true so there's no good excuse for this new model to malf that way. The action is the same as the old gun.

I’m surprised with this problem- my P07 & P09 have been nothing but superb reliability.
-
Mine is fine so far but only 100 rounds thru it. The P09c extractor has a loaded chamber indicator which is different and might be the culprit on some guns. Honest Outlaw's gun also has an optic which might have too long of screws... maybe. He should swap his P07 slide to the new frame and run a few mags thru.

That loaded chamber indicator has been around for a few years now on the old model guns and has not been an issue that I've seen. My 2019 produced P-07 has one and it works just fine.

Apparently something is going on. On this site he experiences an issue. He is not sure what is causing it, but hypothesizes it could be the length of the optic screws which was an issue he had with another gun. Have to plow through some commentary, but he does explain it.

Overly long screws could certainly be the culprit but so far no one has verified that other than too say they've had it happen on other guns. Hopefully CZ or someone else will address and verify what is going on here.

The same guy posted another video where he says it is shooting fine, in fact, very well and accurate (it is a CZ you know). So let's see.

The problem is all it takes for one video review to show a possible problem and a few commenters jump on to blow things out of proportion. Considering all the P09C’s sold, the problem could be very minor. Perhaps the original video just had a bad example with a slide, ejector, or screw issue. A few people said switching to 124g eliminated the issue. Limp wristing or more break in needed might be the cause too.

What I don't understand from reading possible solutions is, why did it run so well for what appeared to be the first several mags? Wouldn't that " long screw" have impacted the slide right away?
-
Have had no issues with either the P09C or the P09F.
The ones we have shot have been running fine.
functionally the gun is same as P07 and P09 so nothing new being done here.
While it can be the gun sometimes. most problems come from ammo / recoil spring compatibility, overall length of ammo, magazines or poor technique on the shooter/ shooters part.

I've had my P09C for about a month and have put nearly 1000 rds (various ammo, including hollow point) through it, and no failures.

Are you using an rds or the factory iron sights?

Truth. Cannot believe they did this. QC. And HO is a P07 FAN!
