Title: Anyone try 154gr 7.62 Russian ammo in a 527 ?

Anyone try the Russian Tula 154gr in their 527?

I like the idea of a heavier bullet, but if the accuracy isn't there, then there's no point.
What are people's experience?

The only Russian ammo I used in my 527M/CSR was the 123gr stuff. I used plenty of heavier bullets in reloading, 129 to 160 grain, with no problem, but not factory. However, considering the rifle was set up for steel case ammo from the get go, I would hazard a guess it will do quite well.

Armoredman,

Good to know that the heavier rounds have shot well for you.  I'm trying to decided if I should lay in some Russian ammo while they are still out there.  The inexpensive Soviet stuff may get scarce.
