Title: CZ P10S Range Day
Post by: ficecz on February 09, 2025, 08:25:16 AM
Details:
- Angry Bear Arms Low Profile Blacked Out Rear Sights Front Tritium Sight.
- CGW P10 Kit with Aluminum Trigger. Striker spring is 4.5 lbs-ish. Love it. Much smoother than stock OEM. More sensitive to light primer strikes with cheap ammo like Maxtech using hard primers (fyi).

>>> 7, 10, 15 yards

I have been working hard on cranking down my grip and making sure my support and primary hands are holding steady with a smooth trigger pull. I started shooting down low left at 15 yards as my grouping circle expanded, but I was very satisfied with my groupings at 7 and 10 yards.

That looks great!  I'm a big fan of the P-10's with some parts and practice, but I still shoot hammer guns, too.

One very quick way to get a smaller group is to aim at a very small "bullseye". This tactic plays to the quirks of the human eye and how the brain perceives targets.

It doesn't need to be anything fancy. Drop a marker into your range bag and next time draw a 3" black dot in the target's corner or backside. You'll be amazed !!

A couple years ago my wife and I went to the range.  I forgot the targets in the trunk of the other car and didn't think of it till we were getting our stuff out of the car to go to the office to sign in.  I mentioned we'd forgotten our targets and the guy running the office that day walked over to a country and got several sheets of printer paper and a partial roll of 1" diameter target pasters.

We thanked him and walked over to the pistol range.  Put a paster in the center of each piece of paper and stapled four of them up on each cardboard backer and put them in the racks for 7 to 9 yd. shooting.  Worked great.  Cheap targets.  I went home and ordered a pack of printer paper and a bunch of 1" diameter pasters.

Buying targets at a range is one of the most expensive parts of the trip. I started pulling used targets from the waste bin and drawing a 2" black dot on the back with my marker. Works as good or better.
